Maybe it’s old folks who are stuck in the past?
I remember shopping for my first car in 1984. Combing through the Tribune car ads every day, calling sellers and playing 20 questions to try to find out about a car before we drove 45 minutes to see it for the first time. A shitload of wasted time.

When I first saw the picture I thought it was a Chevelle so it had my interest, but I’m not an El Camino fan so when I read the ad copy my interest drifted over to the more mundane yet more interesting car.
